Yes, Vaughn, I very well remember your posting about GPR. Since then, I've heard much on the subject and read of many applications. It is certainly receiving wider attention in the mine exploration business. I was surprised to find I was "educating" a geophysicist-miner about it early last year when I met him at a social function.

I saw on TV recently where a police investigation used it in searching for graves of murder victims because disturbed soils are softer than virgin earth and are, therefore, less reflective. This will become a very common tool of the 21st century, I think.
