Hi Don Green; Another thing comes to mind regarding the new RDRAM specifications, both the 1.06GHz and the 4-bank solution...

Whatever happened to all those promises made to consumers along the line of: "Sure, RDRAM is more expensive, but this is the memory of the future. Your grandchildren will be computing with this stuff!" Barely a year goes by and the stuff has already either been outdistanced by PC133 CL2, or made obsolete by Rambus' own new product announcements.

P.S. The above was intended to be taken more or less humorously. I've been in the industry for a couple decades, and I've seen some mistakes made, but never a billion dollar mistake. If there is some guy who's been doing engineering for 10 years and claims he's never been late on a project, well, I would have to say that the guy probably votes democratic.
