Edelstone and the Rambus longs have decided that anything connected to any memory chip needs a Rambus license. That includes chipsets and CPUs (and AMD would get hit as hard as Intel).

If it weren't for the "creativity" often demonstrated by our legal system, I'd think they were nuts. As it is, they probably have a tiny chance of winning.
