ron, don't tank me: this board helps me a lot. So, thanks to the board. Should we have started discussiong this VIX issue earlier, we could have confirmed the Aug 03 one day reversal on Aug 08. Not very predictive... but on Aug 08 I still was waiting for a double bottom reversal. Hence, these oscillators on the VIX could have told me the trend. As a matter of speaking, one indicator alone is not a safe way to place your trades. VIX only is one among many indicators one would care to watch. And as always, do not listen to the crowd, act accordingly after you made your own DD.
