I have a consciousness question for you. Close your eyes, preferably in a quiet darkened room. How big is the "space" occupied by the thing that is you? I've asked about 30 people this question. I gotten answers from "the size of a closet" to "the size and shape of my body" to "limitless, rolling off vaguely into some distant region, more to the front than to the back". There are some interesting findings that I have from this question, like those who experience altered states of consciousness tend to have larger senses of conscious "size" than those who didn't.

I'm not advocating such altered states, just pointing out a connection between the question and the answer.

It is an interesting question.
