No to your second questions. MACD is the hardest of all of the signals to learn to read because it will signal a buy whether its above or below the 0 line. The fact that the buy signals look just the opposite above and below that line is why it is a hard signal to read at least on the askResearch charts.

A buy signal that occurs under that line will likely produce a longer running up trend then one that is generated
above that line.

Ive never tried to figure out what % of the time my trades are successful. You can probably look back in this thread and see that my batting average is decent. A stop loss is your best friend where as greed is your worst enemy. With that in mind you will find losing a hard thing to do and winning very probable.

I just touched on MACD so dont think that I fully explained it just then.
