advalorem--If HAND wants to try some other OS, CE may be the best choice so far. Yes, PALM should not ignore any potential competitions, such as those from HAND. However, PALM and HAND are totally different. PALM can get more licensees like HAND to bring the markets many many new PDAs with different features. You want a girl, but you don't want the shoes of her. We want PALM, but not HAND. :-)

It's not that the thread doesn't welcome discussion of competition. It's just that all you do is trumpet, over and over again, the superiority of PocketPC. You post the same handful of articles over and over, and completely ignore the fact that the OVERWHELMING majority of published material comparing the two give Palm the edge.

Hand's low price model doesn't have a colorful colors.

As for Hand taking such a huge share, I think if you look at the results of the past few years, Palm has not really lost market share AT ALL. Microsoft and the others have, to HAND. Palm's share continues around 70% as it has been for the past few years.
