That's an entirely different matter. If a broker sold shares of stock without consent by the client (or power of attorney) then I could see a case for a trade reversal (where the firm would eat it)... but that would be an isolated incident.

I doubt that a margin call would've come into play since the drop was only for 1 hour or so. If one had stop losses with their broker, then they are at fault.

Incidently, while I was watching it trade, I didn't think the volume was heavy at all. Volume should've been a lot heavier for the drop it had.
