advalorem -

First of all, it's not at all clear to me that that 65% represents overall market share - and I think David posted to that effect.

Second, even if 65% is the correct figure (which I don't believe it is), claiming that that 65% figure backs your 25 share point loss claim doesn't cut it. Palm hasn't dropped from 90%.

So again, I ask, since last year whom did Hand take share from?

Andre

advalorem,

while everyone is busy weighing in with their opinions, permit me to add mine.

first of all, in your post (the one i am responding to) it is almost impossible to determine who said what. the whole thing is a jumble of sentences that require too much work to follow. i can't tell which are your comments and which you are quoting.

i recommend that you use italics and quotation marks to designate words that belong to someone else. it is a standard practice on threads, and it is a great help to everyone. if you need help learning how to use italics, go here: siliconinvestor.com

next, i'll add that debate is fascinating, useful, invited and desirable. but it also takes expertise. part of that expertise is a responsibility that each participant has to remain level-headed and not transition the discussion into attack mode. imo, you went from discussion to mad in no time. i suggest that had you not taken a comment or two as personal, then we'd all still be having a productive talk about issues, and not about each other.

that's all i have at this time. try to make your posts more discernable, and don't take things so personal. we all get along quite well here. take it easy, man.

:)
