That was the very first thought I had when I heard that EMLX story was a hoax. I'm quite sure that the FBI will look at that possibility. There are dozens of different ways somebody could profit illegally from that caper. My guess is that the guy was "smart" enough not only to not trade EMLX, but to not trade any other stock. My guess is that he was playing options. They gotta catch him. I think they will. The market cannot afford to have things like that happen. Whoever did it is a total bonehead, IMHO. If they don't catch that dude, somebody else will probably try the same thing.
