Dear JDN: I guess what is disturbing is the NDA. What did customers get in return for signing the NDA. I assume it was free servicing. They certainly could have provided free service without NDA's. The appearance is that there was something more to hide than there probably really is. SUNW has been known as one of the most open and honest companies in the US. In my humble opinion, it is a management mistake to jeopardize this by having customers (no less) sign NDA related to a product quality problem.

I'm still long SUNW and I don't think this will seriously impact their stock. I just feel that the actions are the antithesis of SUNW's open and honest business and management philosophy.
