That shows you the subliminal power of long habit and advertising. Most people prefer Coke or Pepsi over brand X, and Intel over AMD. The old AMD K6 was slower than Intel chips of the same speed and wouldn't work on a few games, but as far as I can determine the Althon is just as good as the P3. Yet we both bought Intel when it came time to put our money on the table. All else being more or less equal, my purchasing habits in the other categories also match yours. There is a kind of good safe feeling in purchasing products from makers that you trust, and this is a huge Intel advantage.
