Tom,

Bridgestone Corp. is the parent of Bridgestone/Firestone... it trades on the Tokyo exchange. To the best of my knowledge there are no ADRs or ADSs trading here.

Do you suppose their woes have been as well publicized in their home market as here? If not, it might be a good opportunity for those who can find a way to trade it.

Barb, do you know what public company owns Firestone? 6.5 million tires recalled, that should guarantee a profit warning.

More than that, Tom. The latest I've heard (CNBC) late last week is that Bridgestone is now "airlifting" tires out of Japan to replace the defective Firestones at an additional cost of up to $60 per tire!

Ouch...
