It hasn't been so much chronic pain as chronic discomfort, punctuated by episodes of acute pain. :-(

My whole life has been on hold since I began this massive dental work (last December)! Having to stay constantly within shouting distance of the dentist is a real drag. By no means the worst year of my life, but certainly the most tedious.
