SCUMbria - Re: "The management needs to be forthright in their remarks about this issue."

Just like Sanders was FORTHRIGHT in his remarks when he claimed in January 1999 that the 400 MHz K62 issues were resolved - about 4 weeks before he admitted that they WEREN'T RESOLVED - leading to AMD's shares being SMASHED from the mid $30s down to $15 !!!!!

I must admit - you are the biggest hypocrite going, SCUMbria !

AMD is a sleazy operation and you "wonk" on and on about Intel !

I guess that's what happens when you failed to invest in Intel and see Intel investors rake in gains over 1500% in the past 5 years !

Re: Intel's bad decisions and inaccurate comments surrounding Rambus have caused serious disruption throughout the industry and investment community. The management needs to be forthright in their remarks about this issue.

Scumbria,

I disagree with you on this.

It would be bad for Intel to come out and say "we've dumped Rambus, but won't have SDRAM and DDR chipsets for Pentium 4 for another year."

At this point, keeping quit is probably the best thing they can do. As and AMD shareholder, I'd love if Intel would be honest and admit they won't have competitive non-Rambus product for another year, but it ain't gonna happen.
