I always get a knot in my stomach when I read stories like that. I've been there. I hope that person starts doing some serious reading, as they still don't know what they are doing.

Unbelievable,

I have had this conversation with many, and often many use SI as an overview for market sentiment, which I feel is not a good barometer. So if everyone(100%) on SI was BEARISH that may still only account for only a few percentage points of ALL investors since far from everyone who invests reads SI.

So to use SI as a barometer may be a misrepresentation. For me personally everyone that I have spoken to outside of SI is either VERY BULLISH or TRADING RANGE BULLISH, not a single one is bearish.

Only on SI have I heard bearishness and most of that is from those who are always/mainly bearish.

Besides the subjectiveness of SI readership, sentiment indicators like the VIX and PUT:CALL ratio are also supporting that there is a bit of bullishness in market sentiment.
