Would you expect the press to report that AMD has a perfect records of execution? I suppose that the press should ignore the past 10 years because the last year has been good. If Intel came out with a 2 GHz chip tomorrow, the press would say noboby needs it. If AMD did the same, it would be "AMD the giant killer". The press loves the underdog.
