Scumbria,

<Tom did something much more clever. He tried benchmarking DRDRAM systems. Why didn't Intel think of that?>

Intel probably did. But unlike you and Tom, they are not living in the past. They probably benchmarked it with P4's running well above 1Ghz and Timna's, which is where DRDRAM, according to Intel provides the best overall and complementary system performance. Did Tom benchmark with the P4? Timna? Look to the future Scumbria.

Intel still plans on RDRAM for highend systems. The statement made a few weeks ago by an Intel spokesman to the effect that RamBus performance only shows up when running multiple applications simultaneously has merit and is lost on the uninformed and ignored by the intentionally misleading (that's you Scumbria).
