I was doing a graphics design, and DRDRAM seemed a pretty good choice. The design was never manufactured though, because the product would have been too expensive. (Only partially due to DRDRAM.)

What makes you a better engineering brain than Intel's finest?

I know a several engineers at Intel who come from similar educational backgrounds and experience levels in the CPU business.

Er, there is evidence that Intel's finest are less than enthralled by their Rambus tar baby, at least judging from the local contributors.

. . . This whole Rambus thing is the first time that I can really recall, most people that I know, sitting around the table at lunch, and commenting on what "a stupid decision the company made on that one". And in my opinion, they waited way too long before changing their minds. Message 14235113
