I was looking for a "dumb shrink" mobile part next spring. Any chance?

I saw a Gigabyte partner raodmap that suggested that in Q2. I don't have the link though.

Andy - Re: "I was hoping for something sooner! Didn't the first 0.18 part come out in Feb/Mar of 99, and didn't Yousef tell us that Intel was shooting for a 2 yr. cycle time? I was looking for a "dumb shrink" mobile part next spring. Any chance?"

That "dumb shrink" mobile part was in part responsible for the DELAY in getting the REAL 0.18 micron process tuned properly and into production.

Intel has learned from that.

The 0.13 micron process is moving along well - but Intel will be very cautious with its ramping - especially as the Copper rear end dictates all new fabs for this process - which Intel is in process of building right now.
