I don't know that SUNW would be "immune" from a Sept-Oct market swoon even with great quarterly results. But, what I've noticed in studying stock vs. market patterns is that the stocks that are experiencing great growth fall with the market, but when the market gains back a mere 25 - 50% of its loss, these stocks are already making new highs again. There are tons of examples of this from horrid Summer 1998 and also quite a few from miserable NASDAQ Spring 2000.

If the market tailspins 15% sometime in the next two months (perhaps stimulated by fears of Gore business-bashing?), I do think SUNW will take a hit -- but I would consider that a great buying opportunity for those who have available cash.
