Re "Why is there no I love Gore or I love Clinton thread on SI -- not enough participation?" Frank: I didn't realize this was an "I Love Bush" thread. The thread title is simply "George W. Bush." Hence, a reasonable person could logically assume that comments both pro or con could be posted here, with respect for all well-thought-out opinions. We still live in the land of the free and the home of the Atlanta Braves, last time I checked. I suppose there is no "I love Gore" thread for the same reason that there are no liberal radio voices anymore. Slammin' only sells to a narrow range of people. Contrary to popular opinion, there is no "liberal media establishment" in this country anymore. It has been replaced by media (99 percent of radio personalities, 90 percent of the newspapers) that cater to reactionaries and follow the conservative line of thinking. But that's a subject for a different day.
