Hi Georgeb,

I always appreciate your comments.

My recollection, of the reports, is that the ME unit is valued at approximately $30-$40 per share (based upon a significant discount of current optic companies like JDSU). The remaining LU company will be growing at approximately 22%-28% (an assumed valuation of approximately $40). I believe the ME unit is growing at a 40%-60% rate.

The figures are based on conservative figures and assumptions by the authors. I am confident that LU has given low EPS numbers for the next 2 quarters. (I realize that many investors feel this is pure stupidity -- but it's what I feel after studying the situation -- that's what makes a market, a buyer and a seller with different opinions).

I feel that the stock @ $41 will have a cumulative value (of the 3 stocks) of $78-$90 a year from now.

I haven't done the indepth individual analysis that you have. I appreciate your insights and calculations. Thank you for your efforts.
