SCOUTING REPORT FOR NEXT WEEK
Though the markets could easily have the sleepiest week of
the summer as we head toward Labor Day, keep an eye on
government reports that are likely to help indicate the pace
of economic growth and the need for future rate increases or
decreases.

The biggest report of the week will come on Friday when the
Labor Department releases the unemployment rate for August.
Expect a number around the current 4 percent, suggesting that the tight labor market continues. Also look at the consumer confidence number and the new home sales numbers on Tuesday.

Expected Earnings:
* Nabisco Holdings (NA) on Thursday
* Neiman Marcus Group (NMG) on Thursday

Economic Calendar:
* New Home Sales for July (released Tuesday)
* Consumer Confidence for August (released Tuesday)
* Nonfarm Payrolls for August (released Friday)
* Unemployment rate for August (released Friday)
This chart shows the companies that will split their shares
during the next few business days. The "Pay" column shows the payable date. The "Ex" column refers to the ex-date, the date on which the stock begins to trade at its split-adjusted price.

thanks for the reply......

you don't have to worry about me bringing over any pump and dump picks......i know all the daytrader threads here on SI and only lurk on them......

i was just getting a feel for you...and how you would answer the question.......you passed...so i will bookmark you.....

and you will be getting folks coming here to pump and dump their picks......because anybody who post a stock on a short term trading thread is posting for a reason.....they own the stock and want it to run so they can sell...

so good luck in trying to keep this thread clean...because the fact is.....there will be people buying high and left holding the bag while other's more experienced will be selling and shorting.....no matter what the picks are...

and yes IMCI is a crap stock.....thats why i said to just watch it......because ASYS was a crap stock also before it got noticed......and a good daytrader would want that on his watchlist so he can catch it early if it should happen to move......

well.. back to lurking.....

good luck with your thread sharck

regards
