Flapjack, I agree that most people would prefer to debate the issues intelligently. The right wing seems to have an aversion to that, and prefers to use ridicule, insults, flag waving and feel good sound bites to make their points. Let's just not let them get away with it. They still think this election is about Bush against Clinton.

I think that it is going to be a big letdown for a lot of them when Clinton is finished with his term. When you are bashing somebody continuously for 8 years, it's hard to stop. They're trying real hard to find some real dirt on Gore, but haven't succeeded yet. They won't stop trying though.

Name-calling is often an indication that the person being challenged cannot rebut the challenger successfully, so he resorts to bullying tactics.

On the other hand, it ain't name calling if its true. And those who defend scum are scum, IMHO. JLA
