Scumbria... Replace the word "all" with "some". Eliminate the words "hopelessly" and "minefield", then it would be a responsible question, and my answer then would be YES!

Are all the DRAM manufacturers about to sign licensing agreements because they realize that they are hopelessly trapped in the Rambus IP minefield?

Do you consider that to be responsible?


i would consider it brilliant....paying royalties for the use of intellectual property is hardly new. have not heard a patent portfolio called a minefield before...but i understand the analogy and i suppose it fits.
kinda funny how the tech industry always hates the guy that gets there first with locks...hate em they do for sure...but they pay.

the fact that several have settled and the rest are negotiating tells us quite a bit about the rmbs patent portfolio value.
