It is selfishness, it is total Ego, to take up a thread like this with monologues that the majority of thread participants have made it clear they do not wish to hear. Ayn would probably have done the same thing. It is also probably a desperate act of someone who cannot make contact. Anyone who is so self absorbed that they can't communicate effectively with the world is trapped in the shell of their own ego. I say this generally as there have been many monologues over the years. We have the power to skip over selfishness, or at least I do. But I don't know how you exercise any positive contact. I can only imagine the absence of contact as being positive. There may be constructive rules for engagement, but I don't know what they are. I haven't seen any tried yet. But we can all feel compassion, silently.
