Hi Danno,

I do understand the terminology for options fine. I actually have one account that is totally options. What I was leading to was that: If I sell 5 puts to open a position, that adds to the open interest. If I buy those 5 puts back to close the position, then open interest is reduced again. Is that what you were saying???
