reI guess you take a profit and when you have a wild profit
Qcom at 200, Gmst at 107 and CTXS at 122: I had them all last winter.
Qcom is now at 59, GMST is at 78 after retreating to the 30's, and CTXS is at 22: I gave up and sold it at 25 taking a huge loss.
The point is: this is not a buy and hold market. My longest hold right now is csco and I suppose I'll keep that and the leaps for it I have but everything else? who knows...
I'm now into taking profits. And when this latest bull we have decides to back down..whether early Oct or Dec or Mar, I'm getting into cash, probably except for Csco.
Part of this is because I'm quitting work (for someone else) next March or June. I no longer have a five or six year framework.
And when you come right down to it, isn't it silly to let a fortune slip out of your grasp, because you are hoping for more?
That's how I feel now.
