I may not come across as being relaxed, but I can assure you that I am! I find it interesting that you request assistance from me, yet you start off your post by telling me what to do. So, your a psychologist<g>, that explains a few things, like your opening line in the last post!

The way I see it, VTSS's earnings over the past 9 months were about 86 million, but if one takes out the acquisition related expenses of close to 70 million it drastically reduces bottom line earnings. Excluding acquisitions, VTSS's current PE is close to 150+/- based on the last 9 months earnings. Forward PE based on estimates for next FY brings in about a 90 PE, using current consensus numbers. VTSS has shown an ability to beat the street on a regular basis, so we might consider the forward estimates a bit on the low side but that's subject to individual interpretation.

Hi BeckyA, I guess you could say that when I lessen the number of shares I own at any given price that I'm effectively "shorting" my own position. I prefer to think of it as "risk management." Many on this board have been here a very long time and have held VTSS through thick and thin to their benefit and increased net worth.

There are also those that have frequented here in the past to attempt to profitably "trade the range" where they would have been far better off to have bought and held. It's only been in VTSS's most recent history (maybe the last 12 to 18 months) that its offered quick potential on the short side. However one must be nimble to make it pay.

My own methods call for me capping my "risk envelope" at a certain value and selling the premium above that point. This lets me cap risk while realizing the long term potential of an investment. The proceeds are then used to repurchase shares and expand the risk envelope at another time when the share price is out of favor. This is not an All Or Nothing trading method but only pruning, trimming and replanting.

I developed my "Motto" from the whole realm of Fear and Greed that saturates the markets. It helps me maintain humor as well as direction while being a full time investor.

Best regards, Tom
