I think I know what you mean, Joe. <g> The only painkiller I was prescribed was Vycodin/Hydrocodon (a mixture of codeine and acetaminophin -- definitely NOT available over the counter here), but it is pretty powerful stuff all by itself. It can give you a nice buzz, a pleasant floating sensation of well-being that can't be attributed entirely to its effectiveness in relieving your pain.

But although I like that nice fuzzy feeling in my body in general, I don't care for it in my brain in particular. Fuzzy brain no good! Bad!

My poor kitty has a cracked tooth, which will get fixed this week. But nobody thought of giving him codeine, still less demerol or valium. Humans are the most pampered pets in creation! :-)

Sorry, again a reposting. What IS going on here? That's the third time this week that a message of mine has upped and reposted itself, for no reason that I can see.
