UBS Warburg says today that they see 2 intermediate and long term trends in helping DSL deployment. They say the following:

1) ISPs will end up dealing with inventory and procurement of modems, which will be a potential THREAT to EFNT & WSTL, as they dominate RBOCs.

2) D-CLECs are hard at work investigating the possibility of accelerating the emergence of a PC OEM soft DSL modem world. This will result in DSL modems being virtually "free" when incorparted directly into the PC.

Cause of this, WSTL is weak today.

Enjoy,
Anthony
