After nine months of investigation into the slaying of
former casino executive Lonnie "Ted" Binion, Las Vegas
police arrested Sandra Murphy and Rick Tabish in a
Henderson supermarket Thursday.
Murphy, 27, Binion's girlfriend at the time of his
Sept. 17 death, and Tabish, in his early 30s, who was
Binion's friend, were arrested at 6:30 p.m. in a Smith's in
Green Valley and booked into the Clark County
Detention Center.
The two were booked on the charges of murder
with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder
with a deadly weapon, and robbery with a deadly
weapon. They were held without bail. Police said more
arrests were expected.
Both were also charged in the attempted theft of
46,000 pounds of Binion's silver. Tabish and two others
-- Mike Milot and Dave Madsen, who had managed
Binion's Pahrump ranch before his death -- had been
arrested less than 48 hours after Binion's death after
unearthing the $4 million in silver in the Pahrump desert
