survivin:

Looks like the Intel buyers today could be in for a smacking over the next 6 months...Just don't see a whole lot of Intel upside with the production debacle we've witnessed over the past year and reinforced once again today by recall of the half dozen 1.13 MHz models that have so far been produced and/or sold!!!

Re: Intel 1.13 Recall:

1. AMD is less likely to rush speed grades, thus greatly reduce the odd that AMD stumbles into manufacturing problems.

2. Intel is less likely to engage in price war with AMD until re-desgined 1.13 and above come out in the next few months. AMD's ASP will be steady and rising.

3. Reluctant OEMs like IBM will have to come back to AMD camp

4. Die-Hard Dell will have almost no choice but to consider highest speeds of Athlon. Another excuse for Dell to defect.

It is the best news for AMD today and next few weeks to come.
