Several reasons...
1. Coming out of a bear market like we may be doing, they buy the stocks on the "list". Apparently, Intel is on the "list" and AMD isn't right now.
2. Vested interest in Intel....kind of like your basket.
3. Press will sweep it under the rug and will emphasize Willy.
4. Embarrassed Intel PR will spin Willy more now.
They should be running Al Gores or GW Bushes campaign.
5. the 1.13 Ghz Coppermine was like a "rabbit" in a track race. They sent it out front and it faded, hoping to "get to Willy". Apparently it faded too fast but it's mission made a difference. <G>
