E! Thanks! I'll put 4289 on my watch list then. The move today was pretty decent, as you point out, and not expected by all the cognocenti (gurus for the lurkers) That would seem to suppport your desire for a move up to test levels above 4200. The scenario that calls for a failed test of that level seems most likely to me. it would set the scene for a really powerful rally late in the year and into 2001 -- a more "typical" market action than all this August strength.... just mho...
GEMS, LTXX, ACRU, all up more than 10% today! .. Probably more equally nice.
We should be putting together a list of candidates for recovery from the expected fall tax selling. The stocks should have been beaten down good, but have current ( or "soon") earnings, and expected high growth rates for the next two years of more. On my list now I have some of the stocks I've been buying. NEON, DCLK, etc. Guess I'll call it the "Bottom Fishing List" Any candidates?

Hi E.,

Now that we've closed above 4,066 do you think it will serve as support?

If it is support then do we take a run at 4,289 if so over what time frame?

What do you use to determine when to sell GEMS and WFR? I usually do ok with buy entry points, but do not do as well with exit points i.e. sell either too early or too late. I want to sell just right like tso <gg>. Can you help me out here?

Last but not least are you staying in the market for September or will you be bailing? I've had some brutal Septembers and always vow to get out at the end of August, but I never bother.

TIA.

Al
