Pravin:

"Gwennap noted that Intel's manufacturing woes over the past year--and AMD's success--reverse what had been the trend.

"For a long time, Intel was this machine that couldn't break and AMD couldn't take two steps without tripping," Gwennap said. "For the past year, Intel has been having problem after problem, and AMD keeps cranking out more and more chips."
Gwennap said that while the Pentium III may have hit its limit,"

Looks like word, from the mouths of respected analysts, is starting to trickle out that the castle walls of Intel are starting to crumble...How much longer before relative AMD/INTC pricing realistically factors in the "new paradigm" shift that has taken place over the past year and cited by Gwennap...

Pravin,
One important missing quote that should have been in the article: "With the Intel recall, AMD has clearly and unquestionably captured the x86 speed crown and will solidly hold it for the next few months."

I imagine that it is hard for journalists and analysts to be able to draw that conclusion. It upsets the world as they know it.
