Yeah, the big funds are very excited about MSFT right now after doing a dump of their share in the last six months. IMO, the late day surge in MSFT stock was probably a buyback by the company. If MSFT falls much below $70 a share there could be some serious downside risk in the stock.

Big players were probably buying MSFT near end of the day just in case the Supreme Court decided after market close to punt the case to the appeals court. Tomorrow morning, they might unwind. Again buy in before EOD. I don't think they figured strong w2k/office2k sales into their buying. IMHO, Microsoft earnings doesn't matter, for now.
