estate taxes is it has not been updated
My wife and I went to our lawyer today to create a will (we hadn't updated since our kids were born more than a decade ago). I heard more details about estates, estate taxes, trusts both revocable and irrevocable, probates, and executors than I ever wanted to know. At any rate, you can sock a lot of money away tax free today, and it's rising over the next two years. If you really want to sock it away you can set up a foundation and put your heirs in control where they officially don't have the money, but they get to decide how it is spent.
