Wells Fargo estimates that it will save
several million dollars in redundant,
inefficient software and hardware when it
finishes shifting all of its 125,000
employees to Windows 2000 by October
2001.

With that in mind, some analysts believe
the product will catch on -- famously, in
fact. But with some companies just
starting to look serious at Windows 2000,
it may not happen until very late this year
or early next year.
