Metricom Registers $300M Of Mixed Securities Under Shelf (MCOM) (NewsTraders.com) -- Metricom Inc. (MCOM) is registering $300.3 million worth of debt and equity securities under an S-3 shelf filing turned in at the Securities and Exchange Commission Monday afternoon. The securities include common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, and warrants. Metricom said it will use the proceeds from the sale of the securities, when the shelf is ruled effective by the SEC, for the "deployment and commercialization" of its network and for other general corporate purposes. The company is carrying forward an additional $899.8 million of securities previously registered, lifting the total shelf size to $1.20 billion.
