Yep, it is VERY bad news for AMD because they now have to supply ALL the demand for processors faster than 1GHz.

I suppose, by the looks of today's price action, that one could rationalize that INTC, by pulling the 1.1 GHz system, minimized future costs and that is good...Imagine how much they could save if they pulled all the PWeeiii's above 700 Mhz...or even better cut bait on P4 before costs once again mount up...Might not even need capital gains to prop up earnings then...
