Re 30 words, I only counted the explanatory portion, not the feeble attempts at humor.

Mauboussin is a valuation guy. He adds to the principles of cash flow and CAP the additional ideas of cash economics and "complex adaptive systems," which are life-like and ... really complicated.

I counted acronyms and hyphenated words as one word each. That's how I came up with 30.

Actually, it's 31, but who's counting?

I get 48 words!

And 267 characters (no spaces) 314 (with spaces) by copying into Word and using wordcount.

By fingers and eyeballs I get 48 words (counting hyphenated words as 1.)

Uncle Frank's count generously overlooked the second sentence ending with "emergent aggregated interactions," a phrase I did not make up. Copy Mosher post into Word and do a word search. Better yet, do a word count. I haven't got enough RAM to do the copy part.
