I don't think the Seahawks are ready yet. This could actually be a step backward from last year. Holmgren is retooling the team. He picked up CB Vinson from GB to try and solidify that position, but Vinson is already out for the year. The rookie Charlton at CB will be good in the future, but won't be a star in his rookie year. Springs is already having hamstring trouble. I don't like seeing that with a player whose game is mainly speed. So they're unsettled at CB, which months ago I thought would be a strong point. Their wideouts are probably better than last year, but none of the 3 QBs has really stepped up and shown any consistency in pre-season. The RB position and OL situations are better than last year, in my opinion. At DL they lost Adams at tackle so it will be intersting to see how the replacements do. Sinclair is switching to the opposite end and last years rookie DE is now starting ; Lamar King. I've been high on that guy since they drafted him so I'm hoping for big things from he and Sinclair. The Seahawks will need that with Daniels gone. At LB they're stockpiling talent and this Koonce fellow from Green Bay has apparently been impressive stuffing the middle run, which was a problem last year. On the outside with Brown and Simmons they're in great shape at starter(s). It was bad to see Myles go down for the season, after re-habbing all last year after a very promising rookie year. For awhile there it looked like the 4th-rounder was going to be a really special pick. Now with last year's rehab and the new injury this year, I'm wondering if Myles will ever make it back into a game. I think that the Raiders are a better team right now, although I would take the Seahawks wideouts. At TE I would go with Dudley, as much as i like Fauria. FWIW Andy
