Jilbey proposes merger with software company Jilbey Enterprises Ltd JLB Shares issued 2,871,222 Aug 28 close $0.60 Tue 29 Aug 2000 News Release Mr. Daniel Whittaker reports Jilbey Enterprises has undertaken negotiations concerning a merger project between a subsidiary of Jilbey and a private company from Montreal providing software and related services. In the event that an agreement is reached, the transaction would be considered as a reverse takeover according to Montreal Exchange regulations. Jilbey intends, however, to continue its activities in the mining exploration field. All upcoming agreements resulting from the present negotiations are subject to the approval of the board of directors and the shareholders of the two companies as well as regulatory authorities. It is expected that trading in Jilbey's shares shall resume once the transaction has received shareholder approval. Further developments will be released as soon as possible.
