The VIX finally managed to close below its lower trading bands. It's now a full point below the 10% band centered on the 28-day EMA which is at 21. It's also below the 90% trading band also centered on the 28-day EMA (where the bands encompass 90 percent of the price activity over the same period). The lower band for this channel is at 18.50.
