Jim,

The good thing about Reagan was that after Carter he made the country feel good about itself again.

As evidenced by Ross Perot's widely supported belief that the country was about to go bankrupt after Reagan.

Iran-Contra was a real gem too. James Watt and Ann Burford were real "feel good" folks as well.
