I personally don't think there will be big problem... some of set-ups cease to work? Honestly, just how long it takes for experienced trader to adjust? He does it anyway all the time :) New set-ups will come up... While market moves (and it doesn't look like it's gonna stop :)), there will be ways to utilize movements and profit from them.
You are right, ECNs can not be made to participate.
