Mishedlo,

This is going to take years to decide but MU will suffer tremendous for this. Trebble damages will be sought in countersuit. I hope RMBS asks for back royalties for as long as possible as well.

1. According to legal experts here, Rambus has only held their key patents for about a year.

2. They only seem to have one key SDRAM patent, and are asking for relatively minimal royalties for SDRAM.

3. As everyone loves to point out over here, DDR is not (and never will be) a product, so no royalties will have to be paid.

What is 3X zero?

Scumbria

mishedlo... What part of the Federal Antitrust Laws do you think Micron is claiming were violated? Remember it's easy to bring a suit against a company but even easier to make a settlement. Did Micron feel that this was a strategic move on their part or are they just grabbing for straws? This certainly will cause a smoke screen of uncertainty. But when the smoke settles we will all be able to see more clearly. In the meantime brush up on your Federal Antitrust Laws...
