-Aug. 29- Advanced Digital Information Corporation announced today that it has been named to Fortune Magazine's list of the 100 Fastest-Growing Companies in America.
ADIC(R), a leading supplier of storage management solutions for computer networks, posted three years of 32% annual earnings-per-share growth, 52% annual revenue growth, and 58% annual total stock-market return to make this year's roster of the economy's "speed racers."
"Like a Manhattan closet designer, ADIC helps companies automatically store massive amounts of computer data in a small space, mainly on tape" noted Fortune editors. "Tape storage stocks got punched this spring, but sales of new products seem strong." Other leading technology companies making this year's Fortune "Fastest Growing" list include Dell Computer, EMC, Network Appliance, Qualcom, and Siebel Systems.
"ADIC is growing along with the explosive demand for data storage, driven by unprecedented growth in Internet traffic and e-commerce, and the digitization of everything from bank records to photography to broadcasting," noted Charles H. Stonecipher, ADIC president and chief operating officer. "I think ADIC's success stems from our ability to create innovative products that help companies stay in front of their data needs. We're committed to offering the widest range of automated storage libraries and the broadest support for new technology, which we combine with specialized storage management software to create solutions that include both Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) productivity tools. This is a great time to be a storage company."
